International School Held a Zoom Meeting on Cooperation between Guangzhou Huali College and International College of Auckland
On March 11, 2025, the International School of Guangzhou Huali College held a Zoom online meeting with the International College of Auckland (ICA) to discuss the feasibility of establishing a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution between Guangzhou Huali Vocational and Technical College and ICA. The meeting was attended by Dr. Bruce Knox, President of ICA, Mr. James Zhu, Executive Director of ICA, Professor Shuze Tang, Dean of the International School of Guangzhou Huali College, Dr. Qingqing Zhou, Vice Dean, Dr. Wenzhen Mai, Assistant to the Dean, Project Coordinators Mr. Aotian Liang and Ms. Yujing Huang. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Zhou.
Dr. Qingqing Zhou, on behalf of the International School, Guangzhou Huali College, first expressed gratitude to Dr. Knox and Mr. Zhu for their interest and enthusiastic support to the collaborative education initiative with Huali. Following this, Dean Shuze Tang gave a short presentation introducing the history, scale, and international cooperation achievements of Guangzhou Huali College, as well as the unique English-medium Instruction (EMI) programs running in the International School. Dean Tang also provided an overview of Guangzhou Huali Vocational and Technical College, including its engineering programs.
Dr. Knox highly praised Dean Tang's presentation and provided an overview of ICA’s history and highlighted particularly its strengths in Engineering and English Programs including Mechanic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Academic English. He expressed his great interests and enthusiasm for the collaboration with Huali and looked forward to visiting Guangzhou for further discussions.
Both parties agreed to keep ongoing communication and discussions on specific aspects of the collaborative educational institution.
